
Senior Executive Health & Safety Compliance
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop, improve, and maintain all the EHS-related policies, procedures, and SOP’s in line with organizational objectives and legal and customer requirements
Ensure to carry out a companywide comprehensive hazard identification and risk assessment process and timely update it on time. And make sure to develop relevant JHA sheets and implement all the operational control measures according to the risk assessment across the company
Responsible to make sure all the machinery and equipment are tested and inspected according to legal and other requirements at any given time. And make sure all the machinery has required machine risk assessment sheets
Ensure all the third-party service providers and contractors are adhering to company EHS rules and regulations and issuing required work permits.
Ensure smooth running of social compliance of SMETA, SLCP, and other customer audits relevant to the EHS. Follow up on all the social compliance and other audit findings, completing them on time
Implement & sustain, and continuously improve standards and practices related to Industrial, Health & Safety, Environmental, and Compliance areas in coordination with relevant departments.
Develop and review all the EHS-related manuals, policies, and procedures. Make sure all the policies and procedures have been communicated to relevant employees
Review all the requests made by the customers relevant to EHS requirements and timely respond to customer inquiries
Conduct all the EHS-related training and support and make sure employees have the required skills to perform their jobs safely. And make sure to complete the annual training plan on time
Carrying out daily site inspections and raising nonconformities. Issuing work permits and ensuring contractors have carried out their work in line with company EHS standards.
Review & participate to all audits by the customers relevant to EHS requirements and timely respond to Corrective actions.
Timely carry out of accident and incident investigations and analysis of the data and update them in the relevant dashboards.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Business Administration, HR, or a related field.
2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in apparel.
Profound knowledge of standards such as SMETA, SLCP, ISO 45001, or local labour laws is preferred.
A Diploma or Certificate in Industrial Health & Safety, Social Compliance, or related areas will be an added advantage.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
The salary is open to negotiation and will be based on the qualifications and experience of the suitable candidate.
