
Sales Manager
(Fertilizer Division)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive and achieve territory-level sales targets in alignment with the company’s overall business objectives and growth strategies.
Manage and support the dealer and distributor network, ensuring consistent product availability, timely order fulfillment, and strong partner relationships.
Execute field-level sales strategies and promotional activities to strengthen brand presence and increase market share within the assigned area.
Monitor and analyze regional market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities and develop responsive sales tactics.
Provide timely sales forecasts, reports, and insights to management to support informed decision-making.
Coordinate closely with the marketing and supply chain teams to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
Maintain high standards of professional conduct, compliance, and ethical sales practices in all field operations.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the fertilizer or agri-input industry, with a strong focus on regional sales execution and customer engagement.
Solid understanding of fertilizer market dynamics, agronomic practices, and customer needs across different farming zones in Sri Lanka.
Proven ability to drive sales growth, build and manage dealer/distributor networks, and effectively penetrate rural markets.
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with experience in dealing with farmers, agri-retailers, and field stakeholders.
Ability to plan and implement area-specific promotional campaigns, field demonstrations, and farmer awareness programs.
