
Assistant Manager Imports & Clearing
Candidate Profile
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in imports, clearing, logistics, or supply chain management.
A Diploma or Degree in Logistics Management or an equivalent qualification from a reputed institution.
Fluency in English
Strong knowledge of customs regulations and tariff classifications.
Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office package.
Excellent negotiation and coordination skills.
A committed team player with a positive attitude.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the overall activities of the procurement and imports department.
Prepare bank documents (LC/DA/DP/TT) and coordinate with banks.
Compare import and export freight quotations.
Handle import/export documentation and liaise with customers for shipping documents.
Monitor shipment arrivals and related documentation.
Submit clearing documents and coordinate with clearing agents.
Liaise with Import Control (IMC) on import licenses and excise debit processes.
Verify clearing and freight invoices.
Maintain records with GRNs, invoices, and import-related documentation for accounts.
Prepare shipping guarantees when required.
Follow up on TIEP raw material documents.
Coordinate with the Finance Manager to ensure accuracy of bank charges for imports/exports.
