Key Responsibilities
Responsible for the initial clinical assessment of all patients arriving at the hospital for treatment and initiating appropriate medical management, including emergency care and resuscitation as required.
Perform routine medical assessments and refer patients to relevant Specialist Consultants when necessary.
Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all clinical activities and procedures carried out for each patient.
Coordinate and communicate effectively with Specialist Consultants, nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standard of patient care.
Adhere to guidelines and regulations enforced by local, institutional and international Health authorities.
Key Requirements
Degree in Medicine and Surgery from a recognized University (MBBS or equivalent) with the registration in Sri Lanka Medical Council.
1-2 years of work experience as a Medical Officer in a
surgical ward/ pediatrics following the internship.
Ability to perform CPR and BLS. ACLS certification is preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, kindhearted and dedicated to patient care.
The selected candidate should be able to work on a full time basis.
Willingness to work in other wards during emergencies, beyond the assigned department.
